Historic indenture dated 1718 from Samuel Carpenter showing 'This Indenture' in bold Gothic script, displayed in a dark wood frame with an off-white mat. The aged parchment features dense cursive handwriting and three wax seals at the bottom.

Samuel Carpenter Indenture 1718

Samuel Carpenter purchased 5,088 acres of land from William Penn in 1684. 4300 acress of this were in Horsham Township. This indenture, dated 1718, transfers his remaining land holdings in Horsham to his wife and children. (more…)

A historic, hand-written indenture document on aged parchment with a large, torn section at the top edge. The title 'This Indenture' is written in elaborate black calligraphy, and the page is filled with dense, faded cursive script and various signatures at the bottom.

Paul Indenture 1845

This 1845 Indenture records the sale of land in Harrington, Bucks County by Lukens Paul and Hannah his wife and Joseph Paul of Horsham township to Joseph Brown, a Philadelphia merchant. (more…)
